The change of seasons brings turmoil and tough choices to the three big cat families. An aging lion challenges younger rivals, cheetah cubs adjust to life on their own and a leopard mother must balance her children’s needs.

It’s late autumn, and the cheetah cubs are struggling to adjust to life on their own. In the woodlands, a leopard mother is forced to choose between her older daughter and her newborn cubs. When the river that sustains the small world turns on the big cats, it brings thousands of buffalo, and turmoil, into their lives. The young cheetahs can’t hunt in these conditions, and they must leave the only home they’ve ever known. After the lion mothers make a fatal mistake, the aging pride male is forced to confront strong, young upstarts intent on taking over his home.
